The Upgrades You Feel Every Drive

Interior work doesn’t show up on a dyno sheet, which is why it gets skipped, right up until you sit in a car that’s had it done.

The factory infotainment on the VA chassis is the most common complaint, and it’s the easiest fix. An Indoing Android head unit brings wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a responsive touchscreen and proper navigation to a dash that shipped with none of it. For a daily driver, it’s arguably the highest-impact WRX interior mod upgrade available.

After that, the touchpoints. A weighted shift knob changes how every gear feels; pair it with a short shifter and the whole drivetrain experience tightens up. Aftermarket pedals add grip for heel-toe work and clean up a worn factory set. JDMuscle trim pieces and accents let you tie the cabin into the rest of the build.

Then the practical stuff: custom floor liners that actually survive winter, and Subaru OEM parts for replacing the clips, panels, and pieces that break on a ten-year-old car.

Lighting: The Cheapest Transformation in the Car

If you want the biggest visual change for the smallest spend, it’s lighting.

The factory WRX interior 2015-2021 bulbs are dim, yellowed, and inconsistent. Swap them and the whole cabin looks a decade newer. Morimoto is the go-to here for a reason: quality LED output, correct color temperature across the dome, map, and trunk lights, and no flicker or error codes.

From there, ambient and footwell lighting adds a genuinely modern layer after dark. Many kits offer adjustable brightness, color options, and app or remote control, so you can run something subtle on the commute and something bolder on a night out.

Worth noting: quality WRX interior 2015-2021 LED setups draw minimal power, so there’s no strain on your electrical system when they’re installed correctly. These are among the most popular WRX interior mods precisely because they’re affordable, DIY-friendly, and impossible to unnotice.

    FAQs

Will a head unit fit my year WRX?

Most Idoing units are built for the 2015-2021 VA chassis, but the 2018 refresh changed the infotainment surround on some trims. Check the listing fitment or use the Garage feature to filter for your exact year and trim before ordering.

Are WRX interior 2015-2021 parts DIY-friendly?

Mostly. Shift knobs, lighting, and floor liners need basic tools or none at all. Head units and steering wheels take more patience and time. Product listings flag install difficulty where it matters, and our service garage can handle it if you’d rather not.

Do you carry genuine Subaru parts?

Yes. We stock Subaru OEM interior components alongside aftermarket upgrades — useful when you want a factory-correct replacement rather than a modification.

Why buy WRX interior 2015-2021 parts from JDMuscle?
