Wheel Accessories

The best wheel accessories for a WRX or STI are the small parts that make wheels actually fit and stay safe: hubcentric wheel spacers, quality lug nuts with the correct thread pitch and seat, and hub-centric rings for aftermarket wheels. A 15–20mm hubcentric spacer gives you a flush stance and extra brake clearance, while forged open-ended lug nuts handle extended studs on lowered or tracked cars. If your wheels' center bore is larger than your hub, hub rings eliminate the highway-speed vibration that comes from a lug-centric setup.

Wheel spacers sit between the hub and the wheel to push it outward — hubcentric designs from brands like Perrin and AeroFlowDynamics center on the hub bore itself, which keeps the load where it belongs and avoids vibration. Lug nuts are not one-size-fits-all: thread pitch, seat type, and shank length all have to match your wheels and studs, and locking sets add theft deterrence for expensive wheels.

Popular brands here include Muteki (the SR48 open-ended lug nut is a Subaru staple), Perrin, Mishimoto, AeroFlowDynamics spacers, and Gram Lights center caps. Pair them with rollers from our Wheels, Wheels and Tires, and Tires collections. Favorites include the Muteki SR48 lug nuts, the Perrin 20mm hubcentric spacer, and JDMuscle titanium lug nuts — plus our top 5 aftermarket wheels for inspiration.

Are wheel spacers safe?

Hubcentric spacers from reputable brands are widely used on street and track cars, but they add stress to wheel bearings and studs. Keep thickness reasonable, torque everything to spec, and re-torque after the first 50–100 miles. Check your local inspection rules, since some states restrict spacer use.

How do I know which lug nuts fit my wheels?

Match thread pitch (our Subaru-specific listings use 12x1.25), the seat type your wheels require, and enough thread engagement for your studs. When in doubt, check your year and model against the product's fitment notes.

Do I need hub-centric rings?

If your aftermarket wheels have a larger center bore than your car's hub, yes — rings fill the gap so the wheel centers on the hub instead of the lugs, preventing vibration at speed.

Will spacers change my alignment?

Spacers change track width, not camber or toe directly, but a wider stance can make existing alignment quirks more noticeable. An alignment check after installing spacers is cheap insurance.
