Lift Kits

The best lift kit for an Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent, or WRX is a 1.5 to 2-inch kit for your exact model, while Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, and Land Cruiser lifts run from leveling springs to full 3-inch systems. LP Aventure and GrimmSpeed cover Subaru here; Eibach and ARB supply most of the Toyota truck range.

A lift raises ride height for clearance and larger tires, three ways: taller springs, spacer and block kits, and complete systems with shocks, coilovers, or upper control arms. Subaru kits cluster at 1.5 and 2 inches; truck systems reach 3 inches at the front. Budget for an alignment afterwards.

Eibach is the largest name here with 68 listings, built on its Pro-Truck lift springs and spring-and-block kits. The Pro-Truck kit for the 2020 and newer Tacoma TRD Pro pairs front springs with a rear 1-inch block, and the range also covers standard Tacoma, 4Runner, and 1991-1997 Land Cruiser. Eibach is the spring-led route to a measured lift.

ARB, covers Toyota trucks through Old Man Emu: coil and leaf springs by load, BP-51 kits, and MT64 kits including the MT64 kit with upper control arms for the 2024-2025 Tacoma. ARB is the load-aware choice, with springs named for the weight carried. ICON, with 12 listings, takes the complete-system route for the 2024 and newer Tacoma, with Stage 2, 3, and 4 systems spanning 1.25 to 3 inches.

LP Aventure, with 31 listings, is the Subaru specialist: 2-inch kits for Outback, Legacy, Ascent, Forester, and 2008-2021 WRX and STI, plus 1.5-inch RAV4 kits, in bare and powder coated finishes. Those listings are currently unpublished, so check availability. GrimmSpeed, with seven listings, offers its Trails spring lift kit for the 2020 and newer Outback, with Crosstrek and Ascent versions; Pedders sells 2-inch TrakRyder kits for Outback, Crosstrek, and Forester, and COBB lists a 1.5-inch kit for 22-26 WRX and 20-26 Outback XT and Wilderness. How much lift do I need for larger tires?

Most Subaru kits here add 1.5 to 2 inches and truck kits up to 3 inches, but a lift alone does not guarantee a tire size fits. Offset, tire width, and fender clearance all matter, so treat the lift as one part of the fitment check.

Do I need an alignment after a lift kit?

Yes. Raising height changes camber and toe on Subaru and Toyota applications alike, and some taller truck kits add upper control arms to restore geometry, as the ARB MT64 kit shows. Plan an alignment once the kit has settled.

What is the difference between a spring lift and a spacer lift?

Spring lifts, such as the Eibach Pro-Truck and GrimmSpeed Trails kits, replace the springs, while spacer and block kits sit on the existing suspension, as in the Body Armor 4x4 strut spacers here. Spacers are the simpler, usually cheaper route to the same height.

Will a lift kit affect how my car drives on the road?

A taller centre of gravity and larger tires change steering feel and body roll somewhat, and load-rated ARB springs help control that with extra weight aboard. Keep the lift modest for a daily driver, and match spring load ratings to how you use the vehicle.
