Aftermarket Control Arms

The best aftermarket control arms for a WRX, STI, BRZ, or GR86 are adjustable rear arms that let you dial camber and toe back into spec after lowering the car. The standouts here are Whiteline's adjustable rear lower arms, Cusco's rear lateral arms, BLOX Racing's rear lower arms, and Super Pro's adjustable toe-arm kits — all built for the 08-26 WRX, 08-21 STI, and 13-26 BRZ/GR86 chassis families.

Control arms locate the wheels relative to the chassis, and they are where alignment geometry lives. Lowering a car changes camber and toe whether you want it to or not; adjustable rear arms restore the range the factory arms lack, so you can correct the alignment — or dial in more negative camber for track use.

Start with adjustability: fixed arms are a durability upgrade, adjustable arms are a geometry tool. Check the bushing type — polyurethane sharpens response but transmits more NVH than rubber. Every arm here is chassis-specific, so match the listing's year range to your car.

Whiteline is an Australian suspension brand building handling hardware — control arms, sway bars, bushings, and alignment kits — for performance Subarus and other platforms for decades. Its adjustable rear lower control arms are a staple of lowered WRX and STI builds: on-car adjustability, upgraded bushings, and documentation that makes alignment day straightforward.

Cusco is a Japanese chassis and suspension specialist with deep roots in rally and circuit racing, and its control arms carry that motorsport pedigree. The rear lateral arms here are built to the tight tolerances track use demands, with adjustment range that goes beyond street-spec correction.

BLOX Racing is a US performance brand covering Honda, Subaru, and other import platforms with suspension, drivetrain, and engine parts positioned for value. Its rear lower control arms for the WRX/STI and BRZ/FR-S/86 chassis bring adjustable geometry to budget-conscious builds in multiple finishes.

Super Pro is an Australian polyurethane suspension specialist — bushings, control arm kits, and alignment components engineered around its own bushing compounds. The rear kits here pair adjustable toe arms with Super Pro bushings, so geometry adjustment and deflection resistance arrive in one package.

Do I need an alignment after installing control arms?

Yes — always. Control arms set wheel geometry, so any arm swap requires a professional alignment afterward. Adjustable arms give the shop the range to set camber and toe exactly where you want them.

Adjustable or fixed control arms?

If your car is lowered or you want track alignment specs, get adjustable arms — they restore camber and toe range the factory arms lack. Fixed arms are fine as a durability upgrade on a stock-height car.

Do I need a tune after installing control arms?

No. Control arms are suspension parts — they change nothing about fueling, boost, or timing, so no ECU tune is required.

Will polyurethane bushings make the ride harsher?

They sharpen response and reduce deflection but transmit more road noise and vibration than factory rubber — a trade-off worth making on a performance build and worth weighing on a daily driver.
