2003-2007 Honda Accord Mods

The best mods for a 2003-2007 Honda Accord are a performance header or J-pipe for the V6, coilovers or lowering springs for the chassis, and a rear camber kit to correct alignment after lowering. Those three changes wake up the seventh-generation Accord's engine breathing and handling, and a performance clutch with a lightweight flywheel rounds out the package for manual-transmission cars.

The 2003-2007 Accord shipped with either a 2.4L four-cylinder or a 3.0L J-series V6, and the aftermarket treats them differently: the V6 responds best to intake-side and exhaust-side flow, which is why a J-pipe and high-flow header are the classic first power mods, while both engines benefit from stiffer suspension since the stock Accord was tuned for comfort. Because many Accord parts are shared with the 2004-2008 Acura TSX and TL, shopping both applications opens up the deepest catalog.

PLM (Private Label Mfg) is a Honda and Acura exhaust specialist whose Power Driven line centers on headers and J-pipes: the PLM J-pipe fits 2003-2007 Accord V6 models, and the K-series 4-2-1 header covers the 2003-2007 Euro Accord CL7/CL9 chassis. Exedy is a Japanese clutch manufacturer that also supplies OEM drivetrains, so its Stage 2 cerametallic clutch kit with the HF02 lightweight flywheel gives the Accord a genuine step up in holding power over stock. Truhart builds value-oriented suspension parts, including the StreetPlus coilovers and rear camber kits listed for 2003-2007 Accords, aimed at owners who want adjustable ride height without a premium price. D2 Racing, a Taiwan-based suspension maker, rounds out the category with lowering springs for the 2003-2007 Accord that deliver a modest drop on a budget.

Do headers or a J-pipe require a tune on the 2003-2007 Accord?

Most header and J-pipe bolt-ons work with the factory tune, though a tune will extract more of their potential. A tune also lets you confirm the air-fuel ratio stays safe at higher RPM. Check your year and model before ordering.

Do I need a rear camber kit after lowering my Accord?

Yes, lowering changes rear camber on the seventh-generation Accord, which wears tires unevenly. A rear camber kit restores proper alignment specs, and an alignment after installation is strongly recommended.

Is a Stage 2 cerametallic clutch street-friendly?

It is more aggressive than a stock organic clutch, with firmer engagement and less slipping tolerance. It suits modified or frequently-driven-hard Accords; plan for a proper break-in period after installation.

Will these parts fit both the 4-cylinder and V6 Accord?

Not always — the J-pipe is V6-specific, while coilovers, springs, and camber kits vary by trim. Verify your engine and trim against each listing's fitment notes before buying.
