VLAND

What are the best aftermarket LED headlights and tail lights for a WRX or Civic? VLAND is a popular answer in the value segment. VLAND full-LED and projector assemblies are direct-fit replacements for the factory housings on the 2008–2014 and 2015–2021 WRX/STI, 10th-gen Honda Civic, and the Honda Fit GK5 — modern LED output, LED daytime running light signatures, and sequential turn signals with no custom fabrication.

A complete LED assembly swaps the entire factory housing, not just the bulb — projector, DRL, and turn-signal optics come as one sealed unit, delivering focused low-beam output a drop-in bulb can’t match. Match the listing to your exact trim (some VLAND projectors don’t fit 2018–2021 WRX trims with AFS/SRH), check plug-and-play vs. adapter harnesses and load resistors, and confirm DOT/SAE markings for your state.

VLAND is a value-positioned aftermarket lighting brand built around complete LED headlight and tail light assemblies — dual-beam projectors, full-LED headlights, and full-LED tail lights that bolt into factory mounting points on popular Japanese platforms. The catalog centers on the WRX/STI, 10th-gen Civic, and Fit/Jazz GK5: modern LED DRL and sequential styling well below OEM replacement housing prices.

Diode Dynamics is a U.S.-based LED lighting company known for application-specific upgrades — bulbs, fog light kits, DRL modules, and full kits engineered for specific vehicles rather than sold as universal parts. It complements a housing swap: VLAND replaces the housing itself, while Diode Dynamics covers supporting pieces like LED fog lights and DRL upgrades.

Morimoto sits at the premium end of aftermarket lighting. The brand built its name in the projector retrofit community, where beam quality is everything, and that optics-first philosophy carries into its sealed LED assemblies — sharp cutoffs and high-intensity output for maximum usable light on the road.

AlphaRex is another dedicated lighting brand offering full-LED headlight and tail light assemblies with modern DRL signatures and sequential turn signals as direct bolt-in replacements. Comparing AlphaRex and VLAND listings side by side shows how DRL styling and projector vs. full-LED layouts differ between brands at similar price points.

Do VLAND headlights require rewiring or splicing?

Most VLAND assemblies are plug-and-play replacements that connect to the factory harness on supported trims. Some applications need adapter harnesses or load resistors so the turn signals flash at the correct rate — check the listing for your year and model.

Will these fit a 2018–2021 WRX with AFS/SRH adaptive headlights?

Not all of them. At least one VLAND projector listing here explicitly excludes 2018–2021 WRX models with AFS/SRH — match the fitment line in the product title to your exact trim.

Are aftermarket LED headlight assemblies street legal?

Regulations vary by state. Look for DOT/SAE markings on the product listing and have the aim checked after installation — a mis-aimed projector glares oncoming traffic regardless of housing quality.

Do I need a tune after installing LED headlights?

No. Lighting swaps are electrical and cosmetic — no change to airflow, fueling, or boost. Hyper-flashing turn signals are fixed with a load resistor on the lighting circuit, not a tune.
