GR86 Big Brake Kit

Many GR86 owners upgrade the brakes once they start driving the car a bit harder. The factory setup is fine around town, but it can feel soft when the brakes get hot. A  GR86 Big Brake Kit simply gives the car a little more control and steadiness without changing how it behaves day to day.

These GR86 Big Brake Kits usually come with bigger rotors and stronger calipers. With the added size and strength, the brakes deal with heat better, so the pedal doesn’t go mushy after a few hard stops. You also get pads that bite earlier and lines that help the pedal stay firm. Nothing feels complicated or heavy—just more stable when you slow the car down at higher speeds.

Drivers who enjoy mountain roads or the occasional track session notice the change pretty quickly. The brakes stay consistent, and you don’t need to press the pedal as hard to get the car to settle. Even on a mostly stock GR86, the upgrade helps the car feel more predictable when it’s under load.
