Aftermarket Fenders & Flares

What are the best carbon fiber fenders for a 2015–2021 WRX/STI? JDMuscle Tanso carbon fiber vented fenders are built specifically for these cars. This collection covers JDMuscle carbon fiber and FRP fenders — V1 vented, V2 vented, and VS-style designs — for the 2008–2014 WRX/STI, 2015–2021 WRX/STI, and the 2022+ WRX, giving each generation a wider, more aggressive front end with functional venting.

Fenders do more than set the stance. Vented fenders evacuate hot air from the engine bay and front wheel wells — meaningful on turbocharged cars that see track or spirited use — and the wider profile accommodates more aggressive wheel and tire fitment. The first decision is style: OE-style keeps factory lines in carbon, VS-style adds sharper sculpting, vented designs cut louvers into the panel. The second is material: full carbon fiber for the show-quality weave, or FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) for a paint-ready panel at a lower price. Fitment is generation-specific — 2008–2014, 2015–2021, and 2022+ panels don’t interchange — and some designs here are special-order with longer lead times and no cancellations.

JDMuscle is the house performance brand behind the Tanso carbon fiber line, and this fender collection is one of its strongest showpieces: V1 and V2 vented carbon fenders and VS-style carbon/FRP fenders for the 2015–2021 WRX/STI, vented carbon/FRP fenders for the 2022+ WRX, and VS-style plus OE-style Tanso carbon/FRP fenders for the 2008–2014 WRX/STI. Tanso is JDMuscle’s carbon program — the same material family as its hoods, trunk lids, and aero — so the weave and finish match across panels when you build out the full exterior. The brand’s positioning is enthusiast-direct: application-specific carbon and FRP body parts for popular Subaru and JDM platforms, without the multi-brand markup. Several designs here are produced in limited runs for specific generations, reflected in their special-order designation.

Fenders are part of a wider exterior system. Do vented fenders require cutting my car?

No. These are full replacement fenders — unbolt the factory fender, bolt the new one on, with the vents already formed into the panel. No cutting of chassis or factory sheet metal. Professional installation is still recommended for panel-gap alignment.

Carbon fiber or FRP — which should I pick?

Carbon fiber shows the weave under gloss clear coat — the lightest, most premium-looking option. FRP fenders are paint-ready panels meant to be color-matched — better if you want a clean factory-color look rather than exposed carbon. Both are lighter than stock steel fenders.

Will 2015–2021 fenders fit my 2022+ WRX?

No. Fender shape is generation-specific: 2008–2014, 2015–2021, and 2022+ WRX/STI each use different panels that don’t interchange. Check your year and model against the fitment line in the product title.

What does “special order” mean on some listings?

Special-order items are produced in limited runs for specific applications — longer lead times, and typically no cancellations once ordered. If you’re on a deadline for a build or a show, order early and confirm the current lead time before checkout.
