Aftermarket Engine Covers

The best aftermarket engine covers are the ones that match your exact car and finish goal: a Perrin Engine Cover Kit in black, red, or neon yellow for a 2015-2021 WRX, a JDMuscle pre-preg carbon fiber cover for a 2022-2026 BRZ or GR86, or an OLM carbon fiber cover for a 2020 and newer Supra. Check your year and model before ordering, because engine covers are shaped for a specific bay.

An engine cover sits over the top of the engine, replacing or dressing up the plain factory panel. It does not add power on its own. Its job is appearance and tidiness: it gives the bay a finished look at shows and in photos, helps tie together other dress-up parts, and makes a modified engine bay look intentional rather than half done.

When you shop, look at material, finish, and fitment first. Metal and carbon fiber covers present very differently, color choices change the whole bay, and a cover made for one generation rarely fits the next. Pair a cover with the wider range in our Engine Dressing collection to keep hardware, caps, and trim consistent.

Perrin anchors this collection with its Engine Cover Kit for the 2015-2021 WRX, offered in black, neon yellow, and red, including the Perrin Engine Cover Kit in Black. Perrin is known for Subaru-focused parts that are designed around a specific chassis rather than universal trim, so its cover kits suit WRX owners who want a clean, model-specific bay upgrade. The color options also let you match other Perrin dress-up pieces.

JDMuscle covers the newer rear-drive coupes with parts such as the JDMuscle Pre-preg Carbon Fiber Engine Cover for the 2022-2026 BRZ and GR86, plus a Tanso carbon fiber cover listed for the 2013-2021 FR-S, BRZ, and GT86. JDMuscle's own carbon program focuses on visible weave, model-specific shapes, and parts that coordinate with its other carbon dress-up pieces for the same car.

OLM brings a carbon fiber engine cover for the 2020 and newer Supra, giving A90 owners a dress-up option beyond the Subaru bays that dominate this category. OLM is known for accessible styling and lighting-adjacent upgrades for modern Japanese platforms, and its Supra cover fits that pattern. Supra owners can browse the wider 2020+ Toyota GR Supra collection, while WRX owners can compare parts in Subaru WRX 2015-2021. Does an engine cover add horsepower?

No. An engine cover is a dress-up part. Any performance benefit would come from other parts in the bay, not from the cover itself.

Will a WRX engine cover fit a BRZ or Supra?

Do not assume so. Covers are shaped for specific engines and bays, so match the listed years and model exactly and check your year and model before ordering.

Is installation difficult?

Engine covers are generally among the simpler bay upgrades, but hardware and mounting points vary by kit. Follow the instructions supplied with your specific kit and keep the factory hardware until the new cover is fully fitted.

Can I match the cover to other dress-up parts?

Yes. Choosing a finish first, such as black, red, neon yellow, or carbon fiber, makes it easier to coordinate caps, trim, and other engine dressing pieces.
