The Hawk Performance HP Plus front brake pads for the 2006-2010 Mazda Miata utilize a unique Ferro-Carbon, high-tech friction material developed and manufactured for sport driving in autocross, Solo II and track day applications. Part number: HB522N.565.

• Ferro-Carbon formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque values than other competitive materials.
• 100-800 Deg F operating temperature range and 300-600 Deg F optimal temperature range.
• Extremely high coefficient of friction, ideal for autocross and club racing events.
• HP Plus pads can produce more noise and dust than street compounds.
• Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, but all brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) they will be used against. Proper bedding-in generates a transfer film at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.
• Brake pads are wear items and should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.
• All Hawk Performance compounds are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk pads are designed to work with iron and metal rotors.
