Description

The Cusco Type-RS Circuit Spec rear limited slip differential for the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86 replaces the factory differential with a clutch-type unit built for circuit driving. This is the 1.5-way circuit-spec version (part LSD 986 V15) with 35-20 or 45-20 cam angles, designed to work with the OEM final gear. In the Type-RS design, a coil spring applies activation pressure in the same direction as the initial torque, so initial torque is set lower than the Type-MZ — engagement is smooth and quick from a standstill, turns stay composed while the LSD is not yet active, and operation is gentle and stable overall, with minimal loss of initial torque over time. Ideal for spirited driving and weekend track use on low- to mid-power cars.
