Per APR Performance, a radiator needs a direct flow of air to keep engine temperatures consistent on the race track, and structural gaps above the radiator can let that air escape. APR carbon fiber radiator cooling plates channel air directly to the radiator to improve its efficiency while adding a high-tech, race inspired look to the engine bay.
