Description
APR Performance GTC-300 Carbon Fiber Adjustable Wing - Mazda RX7 FD (AS-106159)
Per APR Performance: this item is made to order. Contact the APR sales team at sales@aprperformance.com or 909-590-3796 for additional info.
Per APR Performance: mounting bases sit at the edges of the trunk lid.
This listing is APR's version without paint protection film (AS-106159).
Per APR Performance, the GTC-300 Adjustable Wing is a high-performance aerodynamics component designed to optimize the aerodynamic balance of performance vehicles, primarily in motorsports and track applications. Engineered for high-efficiency downforce generation with minimal drag, APR says it is tailored for cars seeking improved cornering, braking stability, and high-speed balance.
Specifications (per APR Performance)
- Span: APR lists 61" or 67" (1549 or 1702 mm) for the GTC-300; this page does not state which span this SKU uses, so confirm with APR
- Chord depth: variable, 10" to 12" (254-304.8 mm)
APR says the airfoil shape was rendered through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and its cambered design creates an effective pressure differential across the upper and lower surfaces, maximizing airflow attachment and minimizing flow separation at high speed.
APR says the angle of attack is fully adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees: higher angles increase downforce for cornering and braking, while lower angles reduce drag for straight-line speed.
The wing mounts via angle-adjustable risers made from high-strength 10 mm aircraft-grade 6061 billet aluminum, for fine-tuning wing height and position. APR describes the GTC-300 as a mid-to-large-sized wing suited to track cars, time attack builds, and street-tuned vehicles, ideal for mid-to-large performance cars or track-dedicated vehicles that frequently run high-speed circuits. Mounting uses carbon fiber bottom plates for vehicle-specific fitment and aluminum bottom plates for universal fitment.
APR offers an optional gurney flap for added aerodynamic performance; mounted on the trailing edge of the airfoil, it increases downforce and reduces flow separation. APR lists it at 1/2" (12.70 mm) height, pre-impregnated woven carbon fiber, attached with 3M VHB double-sided tape.
Features (per APR Performance)
- Pre-impregnated woven carbon fiber, autoclave-cured in aluminum billet molds
- Adjustable angle of attack, 0 to 15 degrees (per APR)
- 8.8 to 1 downforce-to-drag ratio (APR published figure)
- 10 mm 6061 billet aluminum angle-adjustable risers
