The stock R35 GT-R oil cooler (Nissan p/n 21305-JF02B) retails at an astonishing $8,948.23 — so AMS engineered a solution that is easy to install, more efficient and affordable. The Alpha factory replacement engine oil cooler is a true bolt-in affair: it uses all of the factory brackets, mounts, lines and shrouds (no trimming required), exactly like the factory oil cooler core. Instead of the factory tube-and-fin style, AMS chose a bar-and-plate core with turbulators to increase flow rate and boost heat transfer; billet aluminum end tanks with high-temp foam seal all ducted air through the core, and the core thickness is increased from 50mm to 61mm for greater cooling and oil capacity.
