Subaru WRX Carbon Fiber Hoods

The best carbon fiber hood for your WRX or STI is one that fits like OE, matches your cooling setup, and fits your style. Vented heat-extractor designs, like the JDMuscle V2 and V3 styles in this collection, give underhood heat an escape path — a real benefit on hard-driven cars. Scoopless designs are the clean answer for front-mount intercooler builds that no longer use the factory scoop, while CW and VS 2 styles keep an aggressive OEM-plus look. Every hood here is built for specific WRX and STI model years — 2008-2014, 2015-2021, or 2022+ — so match the product bracket to your car before ordering.

A carbon fiber hood cuts front-end weight compared to the steel factory hood and lets you dial in airflow and style together. When shopping, look for reinforced latch and hinge mounting points, a UV-stable clear coat, and mesh over open vents. Most quality hoods reuse factory hinges and hardware, and minor fitment adjustment during install is normal. Popular brands in this collection include JDMuscle, Seibon, and VIS Racing — from OEM-plus replacements to vented heat-extractor designs.

Complete the look with our Hood and Trunk collections, or add Exterior Trim to match. Featured picks: the JDMuscle Carbon Fiber Hood V2 w/ Heat Extract (15-21 WRX/STI) and the Seibon CW-Style Carbon Fiber Hood (15-21 WRX/STI). Will a carbon fiber hood fit like the factory hood?

Reputable hoods are built to factory dimensions for the listed year range and reuse factory hinges and hardware. Some shimming or edge alignment during install is normal — plan a test fit before paint or ceramic coating.

Do I need hood pins with a carbon fiber hood?

Most quality hoods retain the factory latch, so pins are not required for street use — though they are cheap insurance on track-driven cars.

Does a vented hood actually help with cooling?

Vented heat-extractor designs give hot air a path out of the engine bay at speed, which helps underhood heat management on modified cars. They work best as part of a complete cooling setup, not as a standalone fix.

How do I keep the clear coat from fading?

UV exposure and heat fade clear coats over time. Garage storage, a quality ceramic coating or wax, and avoiding harsh chemicals keep the finish glossy for years.
