Spec-D Tuning Lights & Accessories

The best Spec-D Tuning parts for a 2015-2021 WRX or WRX STI are its sequential LED tail lights and its halogen projector headlights for factory-halogen cars, both offered with a choice of housing and lens finishes in this collection. Start with the end of the car you want to change: tail lights for a rear-end refresh with sequential turn signals, or headlights in matte black housing with smoke or clear lenses for the front.

Aftermarket headlights and tail lights change how a car looks at night and how clearly its signals read to other drivers. Sequential signals sweep across the lamp instead of simply blinking, while projector headlights focus the beam differently from a basic reflector. These listings are specific: the projector headlights are for factory halogen cars only, in Base and Premium WRX and the stated WRX STI years, so confirm your factory lamp type first. Browse the wider lighting and tail lights ranges, and check your year and model.

About the brands

Spec-D Tuning is the main brand here, led by lighting for the 2015-2021 WRX and WRX STI. Headline products are the sequential LED tail lights and a second tail light with sequential turn signal plus LED side marker, brake, and reverse functions. At the front, the halogen projector headlight with smoke lens and its clear lens counterpart give factory-halogen cars a matte black housing option. The collection also includes sequential tail lights for the BRZ and FR-S generation and a quad-tip cat-back for the same WRX platform.

Diode Dynamics is known for LED upgrades and retrofit components, often chosen by owners who want to upgrade output rather than replace a complete lamp housing. Shoppers cross-shop Diode Dynamics when the factory housing is staying, and Spec-D when the goal is a whole new lamp design.

Morimoto sits at the premium complete-lamp end of the market, known for full replacement headlights with a strong focus on beam performance and fit and finish. Compare Morimoto for a complete headlight replacement, and Spec-D if sequential tail lights, housing color, and lens choice for the 2015-2021 cars are your priorities.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Spec-D projector headlights fit my WRX?

They are listed for factory halogen cars only, covering Base and Premium 2015-2021 WRX and the stated 2015-2017 WRX STI applications. If your car did not come with factory halogen lamps, do not assume fitment — check your year and model first.

What is a sequential turn signal?

Instead of the whole signal flashing at once, the light sweeps in sequence across the lamp. The tail lights in this collection use that sequential design for the turn signal function.

Is a tail light or headlight swap a difficult install?

Complete lamp swaps are usually a bolt-on style job, but access, wiring connectors, and aiming vary by car. Allow time to align and aim headlights correctly, or have a professional fit them.

Does Spec-D make parts beyond lighting in this collection?

Yes. Alongside the lamps there is a stainless steel cat-back exhaust with a 4-inch quad tip and burnt tip finish listed for the 2015-2021 WRX and WRX STI. Check that listing separately for its own fitment details.
