JDMuscle-Grilles

What are the best front grilles for a WRX? For 2015-2017 and 2018-2021 WRX and STI, the CS-style grille is the most popular direct-fit upgrade, available paint-matched to your factory color or in gloss black, bolting into the stock bumper with no cutting. For the 2022+ WRX, the CS-style V1 and the Sport grille with an optional Subaru emblem mount are the direct-fit choices, while the V2 carbon fiber grille in twill or honeycomb weave is the pick for a motorsport look.

The front grille sets the tone for the whole front end, and a swap is one of the simplest upgrades you can do — most install with basic hand tools on the factory mounting points, and the change is immediately visible. An open grille design can also improve airflow to the radiator and intercooler over the stock slatted panel. When shopping, check fitment first (VA 2015-2021 and VB 2022+ bumpers take different grilles), then finish: paint-matched blends with the bumper, gloss black adds contrast, and real carbon fiber brings race texture. Finally, decide on the emblem — some grilles include an integrated mount, others offer it as an option.

Brand spotlight

JDMuscle is the house brand behind every grille in this collection, built around one idea: WRX and STI owners should get parts designed for their exact chassis. The CS-style grille line is its signature front-end piece, covering the 2015-2017, 2018-2021, and 2022+ generations with paint-matched, gloss black, and exposed carbon finishes per car. Because these are modeled for the specific bumpers rather than adapted universal parts, fitment is consistently direct bolt-on.

Tanso is JDMuscle's carbon fiber program: the V2 carbon fiber grille uses real carbon in twill or honeycomb weaves, not a printed pattern over plastic. Twill reads classic motorsport, honeycomb reads modern — and staying within one carbon program keeps the weave consistent if you add more carbon pieces later.

Seibon is the broader carbon aero authority worth knowing here: it built its reputation on carbon fiber hoods, trunks, and body panels for Japanese performance cars. Pairing a carbon grille with a matching carbon hood is a common next step, and the carbon fiber hoods collection is where to continue.

Grille FAQ

Will these grilles fit my WRX or STI?

Each listing is built for a specific generation — 2015-2017, 2018-2021, or 2022+ — so check your year and model before ordering. VA and VB chassis grilles are not interchangeable.

What does paint-matched mean?

Paint-matched grilles are finished to match your factory body color for a seamless look; gloss black adds contrast on any paint color.

Can I keep the Subaru emblem?

Yes. The Sport and OEM-style grilles offer an integrated or optional emblem mount so you can retain the factory star.

Is a grille swap hard to install?

Most install with basic hand tools on the factory mounting points, typically in under an hour, with no cutting required.
