The best front bumper grille is one built for your exact year range — the 2022–2026 WRX, 2018–2021 WRX/STI, and 2015–2017 WRX/STI all use different grille openings. JDMuscle's CS Style and Sport grilles in paint-matched, gloss black, or carbon fiber are the go-to for current WRX models, while Seibon carbon fiber grilles suit owners building a full carbon exterior.
What a front grille does
The front grille feeds air to the radiator and intercooler while setting the tone of the whole front end. A well-designed aftermarket grille opens up airflow over a restrictive stock piece — while keeping rocks and debris off an expensive intercooler.
Mesh grilles maximize airflow and pair naturally with behind-the-grille light bars. Solid sport grilles with paint-matched or gloss black finishes give a cleaner OEM-plus look. If your factory emblem mounts to the grille, check whether the new piece includes an emblem mount — or plan for a mounting kit.

Grille FAQ
Will an aftermarket grille fit my exact year?
Only if it is designed for your year split — 15–17, 18–21, and 22–26 WRX grilles are not interchangeable. Check your year and model against the listing before ordering.
Is installing a grille difficult?
Most grilles are a bumper-off or bumper-trim job: remove the clips and fasteners, swap the grille, and reassemble. It is a moderate DIY job.
Does a mesh grille need anything extra?
Mesh grilles expose what is behind them, so many owners add a guard to protect the radiator and intercooler from debris.
Will my factory emblem transfer to the new grille?
Some grilles include an integrated emblem mount; others need a separate mounting kit. Check the listing for emblem compatibility.
