Aero & Body

The best aero and body parts for a 2015-2021 WRX or STI are carbon fiber pieces matched to the panel you are changing: a JDMuscle carbon roof spoiler, vented fenders or rear diffuser for OEM-style fit, a VIS Racing carbon hood or full kit for a bigger visual change, or an APR Performance carbon wind splitter when front downforce is the goal. This collection spans spoilers, wings, lips, splitters, hoods, trunks, fenders and diffusers across many models, so check your year and model first — body panels rarely cross generations.

Aero parts shape how air moves over the car and define how it looks. Front lips and splitters work at the nose, diffusers manage air leaving underneath, and spoilers and wings act on the trunk or roofline. Carbon fiber is light and stiff, with the visible weave most buyers want. Confirm whether a piece is a replacement panel or an add-on, whether it is marked Special Order, and what drilling it needs.

APR Performance is the largest presence in this range, led by its carbon fiber wind splitters with rods for the 2008-2016 Evo X, the 2002-2008 350Z and the 370Z sampled here. APR is known for aero developed around downforce rather than appearance alone, and a rod-supported splitter must be mounted securely to work as intended. The APR carbon wind splitter for the Evo X shows the format.

JDMuscle's own carbon range covers the 2015-2021 WRX/STI in depth: a V2 carbon roof spoiler, V1 vented carbon fenders, an OEM-style carbon rear diffuser, an OEM-style trunk spoiler and an OEM STI-style carbon front lip, several marked Special Order. These are the store's own designs for one chassis, so their fitment language is specific to that generation. The JDMuscle vented carbon fenders for the 2015-2021 WRX/STI are the representative piece.

VIS Racing adds larger carbon panels for the same WRX/STI range, including a VS 2 style carbon hood, a Z Speed style carbon full kit and a VRS style carbon rear diffuser for 2015-2017 cars. VIS is known for broad carbon hood and body-kit coverage — the brand to compare for a matched multi-panel look. ManSpeed also appears with a 1700mm Vol-style GT wing and carbon trunk for the same cars. Compare related panels in hoods and trunks, and read carbon fiber hoods and trunks before a big-panel purchase.

Do carbon fiber body parts need special care?

Treat them like paint: wash normally, keep wax or a UV-protective product on the clear coat, and avoid harsh chemicals. Sun exposure is the main long-term enemy of the finish.

Will a front splitter help on a street car?

A splitter can add front downforce at speed, but on the street its main effects are looks and reduced clearance. Mount it securely with its rods, and expect to approach driveways at an angle.

Are these parts bolt-on?

Many lips, spoilers and diffusers use factory points or supplied hardware, while hoods, trunks and wings can need drilling or professional fitting. Note Special Order items before planning an install day.

Does a GT wing or spoiler actually do anything?

A properly mounted wing can add rear downforce at track speeds; a small duckbill or roof spoiler is mostly a styling piece. Choose by how the car is used, not by size alone.
