Cobb Accessport

The best COBB Accessport is the V3 unit matched exactly to your car, and this collection covers the main generations in one place. Subaru drivers can choose from versions for the 02-05 WRX, 06-07 WRX and 04-07 STI, 08-14 WRX and STI, 15-21 WRX and STI, and the current 22-26 WRX in manual and CVT form. The same V3 format also appears here for the Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6, the 17-21 Civic Type R FK8, and the 24-26 Tacoma non-hybrid, so check your year and model carefully before ordering.

An Accessport is a handheld tuning and monitoring tool that connects to the car and works with its factory ECU. Owners use it to load a compatible calibration, watch live engine data on the screen, and check on how the car is running after supporting modifications. It is often the first electronic upgrade in a build, and it pairs naturally with the monitoring gear in our Gauges collection.

COBB Tuning is the single brand behind every product sampled here, and the Accessport V3 is its signature product. COBB built its reputation around Subaru tuning first, and the range on this page shows how deep that coverage runs: five separate Subaru generations, each with its own part number, from the V3 Accessport for 02-05 WRX to the Accessport V3 for 22-26 WRX. That approach matters, because an Accessport is locked to its platform. COBB also supports each unit with staged calibrations and accessories, so it tends to stay in the car long after the first tune.

Drivers planning beyond a flash tune can compare the other engine-management paths in the store. Haltech builds standalone engine management aimed at heavily modified and motorsport builds, where the factory ECU is no longer the right tool. AEM is known for gauges, electronics, and engine-management hardware that often support a tuned car from the monitoring side. For most street-driven WRX builds, though, the Accessport remains the starting point, and our 22+ WRX collection shows the current-generation parts it most often supports.

Before flashing anything, confirm the part number matches your exact year, model, and transmission, and read Discover What's Possible With a WRX Accessport for a plain-language overview of what the device does.

Will an Accessport fit my car if the year range looks close?

No. Each Accessport V3 is built for a specific platform and generation, such as 15-21 WRX and STI or 22-26 WRX. If your car is not in the product title, check your year and model before ordering.

Do I need a professional tune with an Accessport?

The Accessport loads the calibration, but the calibration itself must suit your fuel and modifications. Follow the guidance for the exact part number, and use a qualified tuner when your setup goes beyond basic bolt-ons.

Can an Accessport monitor the engine?

Yes. Monitoring live data is one of its core jobs, which is why many owners leave it mounted in view. It complements, rather than replaces, dedicated gauges on a heavily instrumented build.

Does the same Accessport work on manual and CVT cars?

The 22-26 WRX listing here explicitly covers both MT and CVT cars, but that does not carry over to other generations. Always go by the transmission callout in the specific product title.
