Body Armor 4x4

The best off-road armor for trucks and SUVs like the Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra, plus trail-ready Subarus like the Crosstrek and Forester, is off-road armor built for the exact model: rock sliders that shield rocker panels on the trail, step sliders that double as entry steps, rear swingouts that relocate the spare, and guards for vulnerable lights. Body Armor 4x4 builds exactly that catalog, with parts engineered around specific year ranges for each vehicle.

Rock sliders bolt to the frame or reinforced mounting points and slide over rocks and stumps, protecting rocker panels that would otherwise crumple. Step sliders add a usable step for lifted rigs. Rear swingouts carry the spare tire off the tailgate, freeing up departure angle and cargo space, while tail light guards and lift block kits round out the lineup for trucks that split duty between trail and street. Match the part to your exact year range: a 2010-2024 4Runner slider is not the same as a 2005-2015 Tacoma guard, and Subaru fitments split by generation (18-22 Crosstrek, 19-22 Forester). Check your year and model before ordering.

Body Armor 4x4 is an off-road armor brand focused on protection and utility hardware. The catalog centers on the Revo line of rock sliders and step sliders, the Pro Series II rear swingouts, tail light guards, and suspension-adjacent hardware like 1-inch block and U-bolt lift kits. Fitments here span the Toyota 4Runner (2010-2024), Tacoma (2005-2015), and Tundra (2007-2021), alongside Subaru's trail models: the Crosstrek (2018-2022) and Forester (2019-2022). It is a working-truck catalog: sliders, swingouts, guards, and lift hardware designed to be used hard.

The Revo rock sliders for the 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner are the flagship trail piece, while the Revo step sliders for the 2019-2022 Forester give lifted Foresters rocker protection plus a usable step. For 4Runner owners running a full-size spare, the Pro Series II passenger-side swingout moves the spare off the tailgate for better departure angle and cargo access.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between rock sliders and step sliders?

Rock sliders are built to support the vehicle's weight on rocks and stumps. Step sliders add a lower step surface for easier entry on lifted vehicles while still offering side protection. Pick based on how much trail abuse you expect.

Are rock sliders hard to install?

Most bolt to factory or reinforced mounting points with basic hand tools, but they are heavy and often need two people. Check the listing for your year and model to confirm whether drilling or trimming is required.

Will a rear swingout fit with my factory bumper?

Swingouts are designed around specific rear bumper and body configurations, so fitment varies by year range. Confirm your year and model in the product title before ordering.

Do I need armor if my SUV is mostly a daily driver?

Even light trail and gravel-road use can damage rocker panels and tail lights. Step sliders and tail light guards are the common entry points for daily-driven rigs that see occasional dirt.
