2022+ Subaru WRX Lighting

What are the best lighting upgrades for a 2022+ WRX? LED tail lights are the most dramatic upgrade: the Version Doragon (RGB available), Matrix Series, and Version ARK replace stock housings with full-LED running, brake, and sequential turn signals. Up front, V1 headlights fit Base and Premium trims, while JDM-style fog light bezels with DRL fill out the lower bumper. F1-style rear fog/brake lights and a trunk LED light bar finish the rear. Everything here is designed for the 2022+ WRX chassis — check your year and trim before ordering.

Lighting is the fastest way to change how a car looks at night and how visible it is to other drivers. LEDs draw less power than halogen bulbs, light up faster (giving following drivers more reaction time), and hold a consistent color temperature over their lifespan. Most assemblies here are plug-and-play: dedicated harnesses connect to factory plugs with no cutting or splicing. A few items — headlight overlays and smoked tail light films — are cosmetic covers rather than full replacements, so read each product description.

JDMuscle is our in-house brand, and this collection shows its depth in Subaru-specific lighting. The tail light range includes the Version Doragon with available RGB, the Matrix Series, and the Version ARK — each with its own LED signature and sequential indicators. The V1 headlights are built for 2022+ WRX Base and Premium trims, and the F1-style rear fog/brake lights bring the F1 rain-light look to the street with plug-and-play harnesses. Add-ons include the trunk LED light bar and carbon fiber fog light bezels. Clearance items are final sale with no returns.

Morimoto is a dedicated aftermarket lighting company known for plug-and-play LED retrofit products — their XB LED license plate modules here fit 2008-2025 WRX and other Subarus. Diode Dynamics is another LED-focused lighting brand, represented by LED license plate bulbs for 2002-2026 WRX and 2004-2021 STI.

Do F1-style rear fog lights require wiring?

With the matching plug-and-play harness, no cutting or splicing is needed — it connects the F1 light to factory wiring and adds brake and rain-light functions. Order the harness that matches your light generation.

Are RGB or colored tail lights street legal?

Rules vary by state: red rear lighting is generally required, and flashing or blue/red strobing colors can be restricted. Many owners run RGB show modes at meets and switch to standard red for the street — check local laws first.

Will the V1 headlights fit my WRX trim?

The V1 headlights here are built for 2022+ WRX Base and Premium trims. Higher trims with factory LED steering-responsive headlights should confirm compatibility — check your year and model.

Do LED tail lights need a flasher relay or resistors?

Most full LED tail light assemblies here work with the factory flasher and should not hyperflash. LED bulbs in factory housings may need load resistors or an LED flasher — the product description will say.
