2015-2021 WRX Axle-Back Exhausts

Axle-back exhausts are the simplest way to change how your 2015-2021 WRX sounds and looks, without touching emissions equipment or the factory mid-pipe. Every system in this collection bolts directly to the stock mid-pipe flange for the 2015-2021 WRX, so fitment is guaranteed and installation is typically a one-hour driveway job with basic hand tools.

When comparing options, start with material. Most axle-backs here are T304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion far better than the aluminized steel many factory systems use — worth it if your car sees winter salt. Titanium systems cost more but save meaningful weight at the very rear of the car, where it helps balance most. Tip finish is mostly cosmetic — polished, burnt, black chrome, or carbon fiber — but check tip diameter against your rear bumper cutouts so nothing rubs.

Sound is the real decision. Axle-backs change tone and volume but keep the factory resonator and catalytic converter, so the increase is moderate: deeper idle, more character under load, and generally no highway drone. If your WRX is otherwise stock, any of these will stay civil. If you already have a downpipe or a cat-back, an axle-back is the wrong place to add more volume — look at resonated options or keep the stock mufflers.

Use the filters on this page to narrow by material, tip finish, and sound level. Every listing is confirmed for the 2015-2021 WRX chassis, so whatever you pick will bolt on without modification.
