Suspension Packages

The best suspension package is the one bundled around a single job: a matched front and rear sway bar kit or Grip Series kit for a WRX, STI, or BRZ that needs flatter cornering, or a complete Old Man Emu lift kit for a Tacoma or 4Runner that needs ride height and load support. Whiteline and ARB supply most of this collection, and the two halves solve very different problems.

Buying a package means the components were chosen to work together: bars matched front to rear, a lift kit with springs and shocks selected for one vehicle and load range, or an alignment package that returns a modified car to usable geometry. Listings name sizes, lift heights, and load figures in their titles, so compare those details and check your year and model.

Whiteline is the largest name here with 26 listings, built around matched sway bar kits and complete handling packages for Subaru cars. The front and rear sway bar kit for the 2011-2014 WRX and 2008-2014 STI pairs 22mm adjustable bars front and rear with endlinks, and the range runs from early Impreza essentials kits to the Grip Series 1 kit for the 2015-2021 STI and a front and rear kit for the 2013-2021 BRZ. Whiteline is the starting point here for a street car that rolls too much in corners.

ARB, with 17 listings, supplies the truck half of the collection through its Old Man Emu lift kits for the Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner. The kits split by system: Nitro Plus and MT64 kits with a 2-inch front lift, and BP51 kits listed with front and rear struts and load ranges, such as the Nitro Plus kit for the 2005-2015 Tacoma. Match the kit to the load you actually carry, because the figures differ between versions.

COBB Tuning contributes alignment and arm packages, including its alignment package for the 2015-2021 WRX and STI and a combined adjustable toe arm and lower control arm package spanning WRX, STI, and BRZ applications. Cusco adds a complete suspension bracing kit for the 2008-2014 WRX and STI, while Skyjacker and Fortune Auto appear in smaller numbers. Browse individual parts in Suspension, and read Upgrading Subaru Suspension and Handling Components before choosing a kit.

Why buy a suspension package instead of separate parts?

A package pairs components specified together, such as matched front and rear bar sizes or a lift kit's springs and shocks for one load range. That removes the guesswork of mixing rates and heights.

What does an adjustable sway bar kit let me change?

The Whiteline kits here use adjustable bars, which let effective stiffness be changed at the endlink mounting points. That tunes roll and front-to-rear balance without swapping the bar itself.

How do I choose an Old Man Emu kit by load?

The ARB listings name front and rear load figures, because a truck with a bumper, rack, or constant cargo needs a different spring choice from an empty one. Compare the figures with the weight your truck actually carries.

Do I need an alignment after fitting a package?

Yes. Arm, bracing, and lift packages all change ride height or geometry. Plan a full alignment once everything is fitted and torqued, as the COBB alignment package here is built around.
