Liqui Moly

The best Liqui Moly products here are its working fluids: start with the Top Tec MTF 5300 70W-75W manual transmission fluid or the Top Tec ATF 1850 automatic transmission fluid, both in 1-liter bottles. This 64-product shelf covers transmission fluids, motor oil and greases, and the right pick is the one whose type and grade match your manual.

Fluids are wear parts in liquid form. Transmission fluid protects gears and synchros and shapes shift feel, motor oil carries heat and keeps surfaces apart, and grease guards bearings and joints oil cannot reach. The listings show that spread: manual and automatic transmission fluids in 1-liter and larger sizes, Top Tec 4600 5W-30 motor oil up to a 205-liter drum, and 400 g greases including a marine grease described as water- and saltwater-resistant and a long-life grease with MoS2. Browse Oil System and Oil Filters alongside, and read a guide to Subaru engine modifications for where fresh fluids fit in a wider build.

Brands to know

Liqui Moly is a German lubricant brand, carried here as a fluids specialist rather than a hardware maker: Top Tec transmission fluids, motor oils and workshop greases, from single liters to bulk drums. That is the reputation to judge it by: a catalog built around fluid chemistry, including grades like 70W-75W gearbox oil that generalist shelves often skip. Confirm the specification your car requires on the listing before buying.

Motul is the other big fluids shelf in this store, carried for motor oils and gearbox fluids with a strong motorsport following among Subaru owners. Motul is the direct cross-shop for a Liqui Moly buyer comparing grades and service packs for the same job. Buy by specification and viscosity first, brand second; both shelves reward that order.

Royal Purple covers the American synthetic side in this store, carried for motor oils, gear oil, break-in oil and grease in mostly universal listings. Its range suits owners stocking a garage for several cars rather than one platform. Check each Royal Purple listing's grade against your manual the same way, since universal fitment puts the matching job on you.

FAQ

How do I pick the right Liqui Moly fluid for my car?

Start with your owner's manual: fluid type, viscosity grade and any specification it names. Then match a listing to all three, for example the 70W-75W grade in the MTF 5300 title. If a specification is not shown in a title, check the full listing.

Can I use the ATF 1850 in a manual gearbox, or the MTF in an automatic?

No. Automatic and manual transmissions use different formulations and friction behaviour, and the titles keep them separate for that reason. The wrong family can harm shift quality and the gearbox itself.

How much fluid does a service take?

Capacities vary by model, gearbox and service type, so check your manual before ordering. The 1-liter bottles suit smaller services; the larger ATF size and the drum suit shops and fleets.

Does changing fluid brands affect my warranty?

A fluid that meets the manufacturer's named specification is the key point, whatever the brand. Keep receipts and a record of the grade used, and confirm any unclear specification before the service, not after.
