Brake Components

The best brake components for a WRX, STI, BRZ or S2000 are the supporting parts matched to your exact car — APR brake cooling ducts or plates for repeated hard use, a Perrin or GrimmSpeed master cylinder brace for your generation, fresh Motul or StopTech fluid, and a PowerStop replacement caliper listed for your model and position. Check your year and model first.

This collection is everything around the pads and rotors: replacement calipers, brake cooling ducts, plates and hose kits, master cylinder braces and brackets, brake fluid, speed bleeders, caliper covers and big brake adapters. Each group solves a different problem — cooling manages heat, a brace supports the master cylinder under hard pedal pressure, and fluid and bleeders are maintenance essentials. Look for the component type, the position or side for calipers, and the year range in the title.

PowerStop is the largest name in the first part of this collection, sampled heavily with Autospecialty replacement calipers listed by vehicle, year and corner, including front right calipers for Infiniti Q50, Q60 and QX50 models. PowerStop here is the replacement-caliper route, distinct from the cooling and brace brands below.

APR Performance is the cooling specialist in this group, with carbon fiber brake ducts for the 2011–2014 WRX and STI, ducts and plates for the BRZ and FR-S, and ducts, plates and rotor cooling kits for the Honda S2000. APR separates ducts, backing plates and full hose kits, so you can choose the level of cooling hardware your use needs. Start with the APR Brake Cooling Ducts for the 2011–2014 WRX and STI.

Perrin covers master cylinder support, with a bracket for the 2008–2014 WRX and braces for the 2015–2021 WRX and STI and for the FR-S, BRZ and 86. The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace for the 2015–2021 WRX and STI shows the generation-specific approach. GrimmSpeed offers a competing brace for the 2008–2014 WRX and STI, 2007–2009 Legacy and 2009–2013 Forester, while Cusco and Radium also list braces here.

Cooling and fluid round out the page: Verus Engineering offers a full brake cooling kit for the 2015–2021 STI, Rexpeed offers a carbon fiber cooling guide for the 2015+ WRX and STI, and Motul DOT 5.1 and StopTech STR fluid cover the fluid side alongside Speed Bleeder bleeding kits. Pair these parts with Brake Lines, and read Bigger, Better Brakes for system planning.

Do I need brake cooling for street driving?

Most street cars do not need ducts or cooling kits. APR and Verus cooling here is for repeated hard use where rotor heat builds; fluid, pads and lines matter first for daily driving.

What does a master cylinder brace do?

It supports the master cylinder so less movement is lost under hard pedal pressure. Perrin, GrimmSpeed, Cusco and Radium braces here are generation-specific, so check your year and model.

Are replacement calipers side-specific?

Yes. PowerStop calipers here are listed by position, such as front right, and by exact vehicle and year. Order the corner named in the title.

How do speed bleeders help?

Speed Bleeder kits here, including one for the 2004–2014 STI and Evo 8, 9 and X, are for bleeding the brake system during fluid service. Follow the kit instructions and check pedal feel before driving.
