Product Description:

Tomei presents their popular Poncam Camshafts, designed for the 2008–2021 Subaru WRX STI and 2010–2012 Subaru Legacy GT with Dual AVCS EJ engines. These camshafts deliver outstanding power gains without sacrificing idle stability or drivability, making them one of the best drop-in performance upgrades for your EJ257 or EJ255 engine.

Engine tuning typically improves torque and horsepower by increasing cam duration and lift. However, Tomei goes further — optimizing effective valve area and intake efficiency to enhance both mid-range response and top-end power. Despite the aggressive profile, Poncams retain compatibility with stock valve springs, OEM ECUs, and variable valve timing, offering a powerful yet reliable setup.

Tomei’s engineering achieves a 1.3–1.5x increase in effective valve area compared to standard cams, giving you a better-balanced engine that performs across the entire powerband — with increased acceleration, improved throttle response, and stable idle.
