IAG Air / Oil Separator (AOS)

The IAG Performance V3 Street Series Air / Oil separator (AOS) is an excellent investment to keep your Subaru vehicle running well. The Street Series AOS maintains OEM PCV system functionality, but supplements its capacity. The Street Series AOS design is based on years of extensive testing on standard and competition applications. The Street Series AOS' large, 1-liter, cast aluminum swirl pot canister more effectively separates oil from the PCV system upstream of PCV gasses return to the intake system. The Street Series AOS' fully-heated cast aluminum housing, superior venting, and unique, patent pending, baffle design set it apart from the rest. The Street Series AOS is compatible with all fuel types, extends engine life, improves crankcase ventilation and is compatible with standard ECU calibrations.

Keeping Oil Out
Keeping oil out of the engine intake tract is extremely important towards preventing premature mechanical failure and maintaining performance. Oil in the intake tract of the engine has several detrimental effects. First, the oil coats the internal portions of the intake, intercooler, and piping. This oil may cause premature failure of rubber or silicone hoses, which leads to failed connections.

Once the oil reaches the intake tract it will directly enter the intake manifold and then the combustion chamber of the engine. Oil inside of the combustion chamber can cause detonation and preignition, high emissions, smoke, loss of power, decreased gas mileage, and even catastrophic engine failure leading to expensive repair bills.

PCV Recirculation
The Street Series AOS maintains the OEM PCV system functionality, but supplements its capacity. The Street Series AOS PCV discharge gasses return to the turbo inlet, retaining a PCV valve to draw additional suction, improving air oil separation. The Street Series AOS protects from oil dilution and lubrication failures in ethanol fueled application because the Street Series AOS captures fuel vapors out of the oil and returns these vapors to the intake tract for combustion. The Street Series AOS protects from both oil entrainment in the intake flow and oil dilution in the engine's lubrication system far better than the OEM PCV system alone.

Version 2 vs Version 3 IAG AOS
The most popular Subaru AOS is now even better! The IAG AOS body is completely redesigned using cast aluminum and features an integrated coolant passage for better heat retention. Additionally, the V3 AOS heating system is upgraded by relocating the coolant lines to the bottom of the body using new swivel fittings, heat sleeving and an integrated coolant bleeder. These heating system upgrades will allow for a cleaner installation and less condensation buildup in colder climates. The new compact body has the same 1-liter capacity as V2, but features a sleeker design and adds removable ORB fittings for greater versatility.

Notice the dual breather port? At first glance you might think this is excessive, however, our reasoning is grounded in simple physics. As air and particles of oil enter into the AOS, the largest particles of oil will collect on the inner surface of the can and drain to the bottom, but the smallest particles will remain suspended in the pressurized stream.

As the air makes its way through the multi-stage baffle system, gravity pulls oil from the air. By increasing the overall volume of the breather opening on the top of the AOS, we have drastically decreased the exit velocity of the crankcase vent (CCV) stream. The slower velocity leads to greater oil separation from the pressure stream. A total of 20 mounting holes enable the breathing port a full 360° of rotation. On the top, a thick Viton o-ring seals the can. Every o-ring in our AOS is formed from Viton which offers superior temperature and chemical resistance.

The Subaru EJ engine has 3 ports that vent crank pressure: one on each cylinder head, and another on the top of the block. Each engine vent port receives its own connection to the AOS. By giving each engine port its own entrance to the AOS IAG has allowed for more effective and faster excavation of crankcase pressure. Additionally, this reduces overall system pressure. The AOS has an approximate 1 liter of holding capacity. The larger the AOS, the more power you can safely make in competition applications without having to worry about the AOS overfilling.

The bottom of the AOS is shaped like a snail, redirecting positive crank pressure into the same swirl pattern produced by the 3 side ports. This allows maximum oil drainage, while separating oil from the air in all the venting ports.

Why not use a catch can? Catch cans require regular maintenance and manual draining for proper operation. If the catch can is not drained often it may reintroduce oil into the intake when it overflows or create a mess in the engine bay.

The IAG AOS collects oil and actively drains the oil to the crankcase. The drain port is under the same crankcase pressure as the other ports that are on the side of the AOS. Under normal, off boost driving the weight of the collected oil will easily overcome the pressure in the drain line. However, under heavy boost (especially on higher powered competition engines) the crank pressure will push back up the drain with the same air/oil mixture that is seen on the side ports. The unique snail design allows the system to breathe without disturbing the swirl pattern.

AOS HOSE
The supplied coolant hose is built to SAE 30R9 standards. It will withstand coolant temperatures of +257°F.
The oil vapor hose is designed to withstand oil and fuel vapors, exceeding SAE J30R7
standards.

The body of the IAG V3 AOS features an integrated coolant chamber that heats the entire AOS to the same temperature of the engine. This cast aluminum can holds more heat which maximizes the evaporation of any condensation collecting inside of the can. The hotter the AOS, the less condensation will collect inside and mix with the oil.


AOS MOUNTING

• Multi-point Adjustable Mounting Bracket

The center bracket allows for adjustable mounting. If your engine bay changes, you can easily change how and where you mount the AOS. The V3 AOS body features a greater number of mounting holes enabling a wider range of adjustment. A single, laser-cut, mounting bracket is included that fits nearly all applications and configurations.

A laser cut harness relocation bracket is also included. The bracket allows the engine harness connector to be moved forward for additional clearance.

At JDMuscle, we understand that fast and reliable shipping is crucial. With multiple distribution centers across the nation, most in-stock items are shipped within 1-2 business days. On average, you can expect delivery within 1-5 business days for in-stock items. Please note, however, that some products may ship directly from vendors, which could result in additional delays. Products sourced from overseas may also take longer to arrive.

Free Shipping over $199 Policy

Free shipping is available only for the 48 contiguous states in the U.S.

Ground shipping applies to regular-sized items only.

Oversized items such as lips, hoods, and trunks requiring freight shipping are not included in the free shipping program.

Some manufacturers may impose a shipping surcharge, which will be excluded from the free shipping program.

Carriers

We ship via FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL. While we strive to use the most efficient option, we cannot guarantee which carrier will deliver your order. Your items may arrive in multiple packages through different carriers.

Processing Time and Shipping Cut-off

Orders typically take 24 hours to process, with shipping cut-off at 3:00 PM EST. Transit times vary based on location and carrier. Some items, especially those requiring freight shipping, may have extended processing and delivery times. For freight shipping inquiries, contact us at sales@jdmuscleusa.com.

International and Special Shipping Considerations

International orders are subject to higher shipping fees. If you would like to review your shipping cost, email us at sales@jdmuscleusa.com with your full address and items you plan to purchase.

In some cases, shipping costs may be incorrectly calculated for international or oversized items. We reserve the right to adjust the shipping fee and will work with you to negotiate a fair cost if needed.

Customers can challenge and request a review of international shipping fees, and we’ll do our best to find a lower rate where possible.

Customs Fees & Import Taxes: The shipping charge you pay does not include customs fees or import taxes. These charges vary by country and are the customer’s responsibility. Please check with your local customs office for more details before placing an order.

Shipping Cost Adjustments: Shipping rates fluctuate, and while we strive to provide the most competitive rates, there may be instances where the shipping cost you paid is significantly lower than the actual cost. In such cases, we reserve the right to request the difference to ensure we cover our basic expenses. We appreciate your understanding and will always aim to keep shipping costs as affordable as possible.

Address Modifications and Fees

Any modifications to a shipping address after an order is placed may be subject to additional fees.

For single, small packages, the flat fee is $20. For larger or multiple packages, the fee may be up to $60 or more.

Freight Shipping Guidelines

Freight shipments require you to be present at the time of delivery.

The delivery driver may provide a delivery receipt (Bill of Lading). It is crucial to inspect the shipment before signing.

Carefully check the packaging for any visible damage (dents, punctures, rips) and notate it on the Bill of Lading.

Open the package and inspect the product itself. If damage is found, document it in detail on the Bill of Lading, take photos, and contact the shipping company to initiate a damage claim.

Do not refuse the shipment. Contact us at sales@jdmuscleusa.com for guidance.

If the delivery driver is unable to wait for inspection, note this on the Bill of Lading.

Failure to document damages before signing the Bill of Lading will void any claims for refunds or replacements.

Pre-Installation Inspection Policy

We strongly recommend inspecting all parts or items upon arrival before installation. If you identify any damage or imperfections, report them immediately to sales@jdmuscleusa.com. Do not install the item. Please note that reports of damage, defects, or imperfections after installation will not be honored.

JDMuscle LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY

All the non-JDMuscle Branded Products will have the warranty provided by the MFG which varies. We do offer lifetime techinical support for any product related questions.

For JDMuscle/Racing Art Products:

Effective for any JDMuscle product purchased on or after 2024/01/01

JDMuscle warrants its products under this Lifetime Limited Warranty Policy (“Warranty Policy”). This Warranty Policy applies solely to: (i) JDMuscle products purchased directly from JDMuscle or authorized dealers, and (ii) the original purchaser of such JDMuscle products (“Purchaser”). This Warranty Policy is non-transferable, and all claims must be accompanied by the original sales receipt. JDMuscle reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy at any time without notice.

Warranty Coverage

Under the terms of this Warranty Policy, if it is determined that a JDMuscle product was not manufactured to advertised specifications, JDMuscle will, at its discretion: (i) repair or replace the original product; (ii) replace the original product with the most current available model if the original is no longer available; or (iii) provide a gift card redeemable at jdmuscleusa.com for the amount of the original purchase price of the product.

This Warranty Policy also covers Racing Art products.

For non-JDMuscle branded products purchased through JDMuscle, we offer lifetime technical support in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty.

Lighting and Carbon Fiber Warranty Periods

• Lighting Products: Covered for 2 years from the date of purchase.
• Carbon Fiber Products: Covered for 15 months from the date of purchase.

Submitting a Claim

To submit a warranty claim, the Purchaser must:

• Email sales@jdmuscleusa.com with the claim details.
• Provide the original sales receipt or an authorized dealer order number.
• Include a photo of the product clearly showing the issue.
• If requested, the Purchaser must send the product, with all transportation costs prepaid, to JDMuscle.

Special Conditions for Carbon Fiber Products

• Carbon fiber products must be clear-coated by the customer upon receipt to maintain durability.
• This Warranty Policy covers only cracking caused by the product itself and not due to any impact, neglect, improper care, or use.
• Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches or fading, is not covered under this policy.
• Carbon fiber hoods must be installed with hood pins for safety. JDMuscle will not cover damage resulting from failure to use hood pins.

Warranty Exclusions

This Warranty Policy does not cover:

• Damage due to accidents, neglect, improper installation, or usage.
• Normal wear and tear, including stains, scratches, or other minor cosmetic issues.
• Issues arising from non-compliance with care, use, and installation instructions.
• Any damage to carbon fiber products not related to structural cracking.
• Labor costs for installation or removal of products.
• JDMuscle is not responsible for any other property damage or personal injury related to the use or installation of its products.

General Warranty Guidelines

• All claims must be accompanied by a photo of the product showing the issue.
• Products damaged on arrival (DOA) must be claimed within 7 business days of delivery. Claims outside of this timeframe will not be covered under the lifetime warranty.
• JDMuscle reserves the right to refuse any claim at its discretion.
• Approved claims may result in repair, replacement, or a gift card equivalent to the original purchase price, at JDMuscle’s discretion.
• If a replacement product is out of stock, the customer will be placed on backorder until the product becomes available.
• All historical orders are covered under this Warranty Policy.

Shipping Guidelines

Repaired or replacement products will be shipped to the Purchaser within the continental United States via standard ground service. Expedited shipping and international shipping are available at an additional cost.

Shipping Costs

Shipping fees for repairs or replacements will vary based on the claim as follows:

• Standard Products (non-oversized): $25 if submitted within 90 days, $40 after 90 days.
• Oversized Items (e.g., hoods, large aero parts): $180 if submitted within 90 days, $250 after 90 days.
• Accessories: $15 if submitted within 90 days, $25 after 90 days.
• For claims submitted more than two years after the purchase date, an additional $20 surcharge will apply.

Refund Process

Return Shipping
