Know Your Front Fascia Before You Order

The 2015-2017 STI runs a front bumper with a smaller lower grille opening and a more understated grille design. Explore hundreds of exterior mods from AeroflowDynamics, Seibon, Rexspeed, and more trusted brands.

Front bumpers, lips, splitters, and grille inserts built for one generation don't fit the other, which makes bumper-related STI exterior mods the most fitment-sensitive parts in this collection. Aftermarket listings for front bumper hardware are consistently split into "2015-2017" and "2018-2021" fitment groups for this exact reason. The 2018 refresh also brought the STI its first 19-inch factory wheels, up from the 18-inch wheels used on 2015-2017 models.

If you're shopping for a Subaru STI exterior piece that touches the front bumper, confirm your model year first.

Build the Look That Fits Your STI

Beyond the bumper, the STI's biggest exterior mod signature is its rear wing, standard on every 2015-2021 model and noticeably larger than the small lip spoiler that comes on the WRX. That wing mounts the same way across the whole run, so wing risers, gooseneck mounts, and LED third brake light kits fit either generation without the fitment issues that come with front-end parts.

Rounding out a build usually means pairing the factory wing with a front lip, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and vented hood or fender parts for cars running bigger turbos. Carbon fiber and polyurethane are the two common materials in this space: carbon saves weight and looks sharp, while polyurethane flexes on impact and holds up better to daily parking-lot dings.

JDMuscle carries STI exterior mods for both front-end generations, backed by same-day shipping and a price match guarantee.

    FAQs

Do 2015-2017 STI front bumpers fit a 2018+ STI?

No. Subaru restyled the front fascia for 2018, and front bumpers, lips, and grille inserts built for one generation won't mount on the other.

What makes the Subaru STI’s exterior mods different from the WRX?

The STI's rear wing is the most visible difference in any Subaru STI exterior build. It's larger than the WRX's lip spoiler and mounts the same way across the whole 2015-2021 run.

Should I choose carbon fiber or polyurethane exterior parts?

Carbon fiber saves weight and shows off a woven finish, while polyurethane flexes on impact and holds up better to everyday parking-lot dings. Both work well; the choice comes down to your priorities.
