The best parts for a 2016+ Mazda Miata (ND) build on the car's biggest strength — light weight: functional aero like a Verus front splitter, dive planes, and hood louvers for track stability, a lightweight ACT flywheel and performance clutch for sharper response, and quality coilovers to fine-tune the chassis. Carbon aero such as a duckbill spoiler adds downforce without a weight penalty. Because the ND is so light, even small upgrades make an outsized difference.
The fourth-generation Miata (ND) returned the MX-5 to its lightweight roots — the lightest Miata since the original NA — powered by Mazda's 2.0L SkyActiv-G four-cylinder. Cars from 2019 on received a factory power bump, so check which engine your car has when shopping engine and drivetrain parts.
Fitment note: many ND parts are listed for 2016-2018 specifically, and the 2019+ engine update changed some components — always verify fitment against your exact year and model. The ND responds best to mods that preserve its balance: grip, braking, and response over raw power.
Popular brands for the ND include Verus Engineering for functional aero, ACT for clutches and flywheels, and JDMuscle for carbon-fiber aero.

Will a 2016-2018 flywheel fit my 2019+ ND?
The ACT Streetlite flywheel we carry is listed for 2016-2018 NDs, and the 2019+ engine update changed some components — confirm fitment for your exact year and model before ordering.
Do I need a tune for aero parts?
No. Splitters, dive planes, hood louvers, and diffusers are pure bolt-on parts that change airflow over and through the car — no ECU changes or tuning required.
Will a lightweight flywheel hurt daily drivability?
A lightweight flywheel sharpens rev response noticeably, but it can make low-speed takeoffs touchier since there is less rotating mass smoothing things out. Most drivers adapt within a week.
Can I daily drive an ND with track aero?
Yes — most bolt-on aero is street-friendly, though splitters and dive planes sit low and can scrape on steep driveways. If your car sees winter or rough roads, consider how much clearance you are willing to give up.
